History of the Site
I have had my own domain and Web site about 2002. I’ve used a wide variety of Web hosts, CMS systems and created my own Web site from scratch using HTML and CSS. I’ve used the following:
- FrontPage
- Joomla
- HTML/CSS
- and now WordPress for the past several years
I’ve used Web hosts like BlueHost, implemented a Dynamic IP domain name and hosted on my own server, and now I am using Amazon Lightsail. Lightsail has been a breeze to configure, and is very much available. It is easy to backup and to add load balancing and upscale to a different system. It’s been very flexible.
I initially had a Web site for just my resume, but I decided to morph the Web site into a blog for technology based on my interests and experience. I hope the topics discussed help others in making better decisions in IT or solving some obscure issues.
